Charlene "Chi-Chi" Smith
Continuing her sporadic tour with Colombian-born, international artist Shakira, Charlene “Chi-Chi” Smith endlessly reaches new heights in the Entertainment Industry. Since 2005, she has performed with both new and major artists under the works of acclaimed choreographers such as Hi-Hat, Fatima Robinson, Laurie-Ann Gibson, Nu Stylz, Bam-Bam Nexx Level, and others. In 2009, she was a featured dancer for a BET special called “Michael Jackson: 10 Things You Didn’t Know”. In February 2010, Chi-Chi performed with Shakira for the NBA’s record-breaking audience of 108,713 fans. Her 2006 NFL Kickoff performance with P.Diddy landed her a picture in the Miami newspaper, and was also a featured dancer for LL Cool J’s “Todd Smith” tour earlier that year. Charlene was a featured model on BET’s Rip The Runway 2006 for Michael Jordan’s female clothing line, and can be seen as featured talent in international/national commercials such as Nair, American Airlines, Mohegan Sun, Ipod, Stride Gum as well as MTV’s dance instructional show: Dances From The Hood with Tweetie. “Chi-Chi” teaches open Freestyle Dance (Hip-Hop) for adults and children of all ages at 92Y (NYC), Manhattan Motion Dance Studio (NYC), the United Nations International School (UNIS-NYC), La Danse School of performing Arts (NJ), as well as periodic workshops overseas and in Veracruz, Mexico and in Sudbury, Ontario. She encourages all to “dance like no one is watching!”
Danielle Polanco
is an elite dancer and choreographer. She is probably best known for being the leading lady in Omarion's music video Touch and for playing in the 2008 movie Step Up 2 the Streets, in which she portrayed Missy Serrano. Polanco has an impressive resume; she has choreographed for Beyonce and Janet Jackson and has also appeared as a dancer in numerous music videos for top artists such as Beyonce, Amerie, Janet Jackson, and Usher. Danielle is a member of the House of Ninja. She is of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent. She's from and still lives in the Bronx borough of New York City. Most recently, she can be seen in the Broadway revival of West Side story as one of the Shark girls.
Nubian NeNe
In February 2006 and 2007, Né represents Canada and Montréal for the first time at the international dance competition JUSTE DEBOUT in Paris. She meets a lot of renowned dancers from all the over the planet and exchanges with them on a dance level! In April 2006, Dazl puts together the first House Dance crew of its kind in Canada, Jack-O-Lution, Né is part of it! May 2006 she participates in Bust a Move, dance competition in Montreal, and finishes in 3rd place with her partner. August 2006, at the annual Gravity Rock, Jack-O-Lution performs for the first time as a group. In May 2007, Né wins her first house dance battle at the Bust a Move dance convention. In the same breath, she is learning waaacking with Black Kat (Montreal) and Tyrone Proctor. Her loves for waacking is born. In 2009, she moves to New York City in pursuit of her dance aspirations. She participates in numerous competitions such as HDI and Step Ya Game Up. In the summer of 2009, Néné is asked to dance along side many influential ladies in the Hip Hop culture in the Ladies of Hip Hop in Philadelphia. Beginning of 2010, Né goes back to Europe and teaches a waacking and house workshops in Madrid, Spain. Throughout all the spectacles and competitions, Né has always maintained an intensive training in dance but also physically, as she believes it’s important! Her love for House (music, dance, history) is felt in the way she dances. Tweetboogie
Currently dancing with international pop artist Shakira, Tweetie is always representing The South Bronx. She is devoted to the street styles of hip-hop. As she continues to travel all over the world teaching in different countries such as Japan, Poland and Switzerland and Australia, assisting choreography on shows like "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" with Luther Brown, her passion has lead her to work with top artists like Jay-Z, Fergie, Mya, Shareefa, LL Cool J, Mary J Blige, Ryan Leslie, & Shakira. Tweetie was also the host of MTV's "Dances From The Hood" On Demand. Two of her biggest clients were teaching Gail and Oprah some of the latest hip-hop moves as a guest choreographer on The OPRAH Show.
YOSHIE
Coming from Japan to teach at the annual Ladies of Hip-Hop Festival NYC, Yoshie is member of BE-BOP-CREW.It is not only Japan but also a popular all over the world dancer. Dance show case,judge of competition,STAGE,WORKSHOP.etc...It takes an active part on a dance scene all over the world. Yoshie has battled all over the world in many different Hip Hop styles.
